The experimental flutes I make are inspired by African flutes. They have different pentatonic scales and their fipples are made in the way which gives them murmuring, rustling or rasping sounds. These flutes are not meant to play elaborated melodies; they are more suitable for playing rhythmic patterns. Each flute is original and it is not possible to use it for playing the traditional repertoire; therefore, its user has to explore the qualities of the instrument and develop their own songs and repertoire.
